Sleeping chicken swap with Mongolian chicken, still the same what?

Latest headline today from Malaysiakini:

Najib takes over as finance minister

Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi today said he would pass his finance portfolio to his deputy Najib Abdul Razak, while he takes over as defence minister.

For what-eh-va reason it is, i’m finding myself laughing out loud over this news. What difference does it make by swapping post between two of them? And without explaining in details, what benefits will this change bring to the current administration? Will Abdullah be able to serve his role better as a prime minister by relinguishing his post as finance minister? Will there be any problems during the transition period, making things more unefficient? Are we going to see more submarine deals in future? Why the sudden timing of this change of roles? Too bad, RPK is not around to give his 2 cents, but to me, it’s merely like swapping a sleeping chicken with a Mongolian chicken, end of the day, both of ’em are still chickens and it won’t change anything…

  1. This swapping jobs is like swapping w***s. This is Ramadhan and swapping w***s is haram. However, a friend of mine, a liberal muslim, told me “it maybe haram but in umno all haram can be made halal Pak”.

Anything will do this time as long as PM is seen to be doing something.

PM is incharge of the Nation and if the economy is in chaos PM should not blame it on DSAI. DSAI has nothing to do with the Monetry and Fiscal Policy. Its all in the hand of the Gomen=Pak Lah+DPM. The Opposition can say anything-everything about the Gomen=Economy+security etc etc. If the Gomen is well administered no matter what the Opposition says nothing will dramatically change.

PM dont blame others for your weakness. Accept the weaknesses and the rakyat will respect you for it. If you csannot accept the weaknesses please retire and hand over the torch to someone who can handle them.

  2. Change from Finance to Defence. For what? Hope he don’t abuse this new portfolio to unleash the armed forces on the innocents.
