How to backup iTunes files and purchases…

Well well well, if you’re an iTunes or iPhone users and have already purchased a lot of apps/musics/movies from iTunes, then good news for you. I just found out that we can actually backup those items and later reinstall them back.

Two days ago, i decided to migrate my system to Windows 7 and i just googled and found out what we need to do to backup our iTunes apps and stuff like that. You see, if you’re like me, you will definitely want to make sure that you can retrieve back all your paid apps right? Even if we weren’t gonna be charged again for re-downloading the apps, i’m sure you want to save the trouble to identify the apps and re-download them again.

Anyway, to cut the story short, all you have to do is just to go to File -> Library -> Back Up To Disc.

Oh yeah, it’s as simple as that. By the way, of course you need to insert an empty CDR or DVD-R. 🙂 I have lots of data so an empty CD-R is not sufficient, so i need DVD-R. It’s practically a pretty simple and straight forward procedure so i’m quite sure you won’t do much wrong here.

So what’s next after you have already installed your new system, well, just re-install back the iTunes software and pop in the backup disc and it will auto-prompt you to restore all your apps.

Oh yeah, i’ve got back all my podcasts and also all my paid apps… yummy… slurrrrrppp…
