For reference: PC motherboard terms

Ever wonder what those weird terms like V, GL, L stands for when you purchase motherboard for your PC? Well, good news, i have the answer for you!

V = onboard video
L = LAN
GL = gigabit LAN
CF = crossfire
SLI = SLI
D2 = DDR2 / D3 = DDR3
R = RAID
E = E-SATA
S = onboard sound system

So next time if you are buying a board and there’s a term VGL, that means it has onboard video + gigabit LAN. 🙂
