Unreliable Smart Tag and lousy customer service?

I’m quite a frequent user of highway so recently i purchased a Smart Tag as i can see that nowadays the queue for the normal Touch N Go lane is getting longer and longer. That Smart Tag alone cost me RM130 but it comes with a preloaded RM10 Touch N Go card.

Well, my initial impression was, Smart Tag rocks bay beh! It is really convenient when you don’t have to roll down your car mirror and you can simply drive thru the Smart Tag lane without any hassle. Usually you don’t get stuck in queue in Smart Tag lane. All in all, it’s money well spent indeed!

But here comes the problem. About 2 months after my purchase, the unit just broke down. And one of my colleague told me that he had similar problem as well. And upon further check, i just realized that the Smart Tag was not even approved by Sirim. Ah hah, now that tells you something about the quality or reliability of that product huh! So off I go to the service centre. Was told that it will takes about 5 weeks for repair and i need to pay RM7 in postal order as part of the shipping cost for them to ship the item back to us. Hehe, your product screw up but then we customer have to bear the shipping cost? Not bad.

It has been about 4 weeks now since i sent my defective unit for repair. Called them yesterday and was told it’s still under repair. It’s just a small and simple unit, so i was wondering what took them so long…

Ahhh… i guess this is another daylight robbery case happening in Malaysia?

Malaysia Book of Records: Most expensive laptop in Malaysia…

And the winner is… jeng jeng jeng jeng !!!

.

.

.

.

.

.

KUALA LUMPUR: Who in their right mind would pay RM42,320 for a laptop?

Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi Mara Balik Pulau in Penang not only paid the price but bought two units of the same brand – Acer Aspire-5052ANWXMI, at a whopping price of RM84,640, said the Auditor-General’s Report. <more>

Haha, that question above damn funny. Who in their right mind would pay RM42,320 for a laptop. I guess  if they keep on asking this question, we can go on for years and years. And many people in Malaysia will be declared as not so in the right frame of mind. Bwah hahahaha… This laptop must be some super computer as the cost is equivalent to a full spec Viva or a Proton Savvy. Wow, imagine that! But then, year after year, we read some AG’s report yada yada, then then after that, i guess someone took a broom and sweep all the reports under the carpet and case close.

*yawn* Imagine that this is not the first time we’re hearing about this issue on misuse of funds, terang terang di bawah bulan dan matahari, it’s like a clear broad day light robbery and yet nothing much has been done to address this issue. So what to do? Aiyah, AG report or no AG report, sama also only. I’d rather not read the AG report because after reading about it, i’ll get so pissed off and yet i can’t really do much about it cause those people who thinks they are ‘ayam telor’ continues to sleep and do nothing about it.

And so, why not we all just start compiling the datas every year and include them in Malaysia Book of Records. That will be nice isn’t it? The world’s most expensive screwdriver set, the world’s most expensive laptop and so on… :)

Michael Jackson: ‘This is it’ song…

I don’t get it, why this song was not included in the Invincible album? Was it recorded after the Invincible album? Definitely a  lot better than any of the tracks inside the disastrous Invincible album…

iPhone Game Review : Alive 4-Ever

Lets kick some zombies ass!

Lets kick some zombies ass!

Ok, if you’re an iPhone user and you have not heard of this game, it’s ok. Just go to iTunes store now and download the game for only $0.99 and i bet that you will thank me for this. This is seriously one of the best games released for iPhone to date. Remember that i recommended iDracula sometime ago? Well, this game has the same concept of iDracula in the sense that you walk around shooting zombies but the similarities ends there.

What is so good about this game compare to iDracula is that you actually need to complete missions and earn experience level as well as money and upgrade your character from there. It’s something sort of like RPG. There’s different type of mission to complete like rescuing survivors, retrieve vaccines and so on. That keeps the game interesting compared to iDracula where you just shoot to stay alive. I’ve just completed 8 missions and i think there’s 30 missions in total. And also, you can always go back to older mission to try and complete the challenge and earn more money so you can upgrade your weapons. You see, in every mission, you have a side challenge where you’ll earn some bonus if you manage to complete the challenge. So sometimes even if you manage to complete a mission, you might not complete the challenge given so you can always go back and play the same mission.

Action wise, there’s plenty of shooting and head shots around, plenty of gore and plenty of zombies to keep your adrenalin rushing. So i guess it’s a pretty entertaining and intense shooter game. One of the nicer games around and this game earns 4.5 stars out of 5 from freeweelee. Why 4.5 and not 5? Well, the multiplayer mode doesn’t work even though it’s stated that it works on iPhone 2G. Hmm, still can’t figure out how to get the multiplayer mode going, and i can’t imagine how kick ass it’s gonna be should the multiplayer mode works. :)

Corruption in Malaysia, tak apa lah – boleh jadi MP lor…

This is truly Malaysia and only in Malaysia, see the comparison below:

Show me the money and Ill be your MP!

Show me the money and I'll be your MP!

Money, bribery, politics… if you want all of the three together, then you better make sure you do it nice and clean and hope that you won’t get caught! I am not promoting corruption but i despise corruption. But then again you have to admit there there is definitely corruption everywhere and it’s just a matter of how serious it is. Gosh, i even dare to say that there might be some sort of corruption happening at our neighboring country like Singapore. You have to admit that you can’t possibly catch everyone in the world who committed bribery or is involved in corruption. But here’s the big catch, what happens if you were caught doing so? What happens after that?

Again, only in Malaysia (yay! Malaysia Boleh!) you see someone who has been convicted in money politics previously, actively returning to politics again! What kind of sh$t is this? Is this pure arrogance or what? I don’t get it in Malaysia. You can have a leader who fucks a mistress and got beamed publicly and yet he’s making a comeback. And now you have another fella who’s got a real bad history in money politics, got caught and yet again he’s making a comeback? So guys, especially to those of you who’s going to vote at Bagan Pinang. Is this what you really want? Are we going to tell the world out there that it’s ok to have extra marital affair as well as involved in money politics. Our leaders can do what they want and yet we will vote for them come next election.

I believe we must make a very firm stand when it comes to this. Leaders have to rule and lead by example. Any one small missteps and they should be kicked out without any questions. You know, maybe I have been blogging too much about this but i still can’t believe that this is happening right here in Malaysia. Is BN taking us rakyats for granted or they thought we’re getting dumb and dumber? Are we going to continue to throw our support for someone who’s already tainted in money politics? Come on, think and vote wisely. If Isa wins this by-election, then sad to say, i think we’re doomed cause we will be setting a very dangerous precedence for future political candidates…

C’mon guys, you seriously want a fucking (literally) minister ?

If only the word ‘Fuck’ is not banned in newspaper, i guess the best headline to describe CSL’s comeback would be ‘CSL fucks back!’. Come on…do we want this to be another Malaysia Boleh stuff? If you are some normal person in the streets and people don’t give a damn about what you do in your life, then i guess it’s ok go to around and fuck whoever you like. But then we’re talking about leaders, someone that should be a role model. So it’s common sense that you should know that people will scrutinize every single actions of yours and it’s also common sense that having an affair is a big no no in this country. What is worse that the whole world now knows and have already seen the action and yet this guy’s face is so damn thick that he doesn’t seem to be affected at all.

So here you go, we have MCA’s EGM now and i can’t bear the thought of seeing CSL being reinstated back as deputy minister. No, i don’t have anything personal against him but like i said, i don’t want to see someone who goes around having fun and fucking being a leader in my counter. And the worst part is, it’s not up to us to vote, but some few thousands members of MCA only who gets to vote. So if ever CSL gets voted back in, pls don’t make a conclusion that every single Malaysian out there supports this. ..

Next time got gathering, need to bring cow head?

First, read this- Hishamuddin defends cow-head protestors

Check out this paragraph:

Hishammuddin told reporters that the police allowed the demonstrators to proceed because the numbers of protestors were small.

Then head over here and read this – Malaysia may lift curbs on gatherings

And check out this statement:

Under that section of law, an assembly of more than five persons is considered illegal and prior permission or permit is required from the police for holding such a gathering.

—————————

You don’t need rocket science to figure out that there were more than 5 ppl at the cow-head protest gathering. So apa macam?

@mymailbox: Grandma’s Letter – Have a good laugh!

I thought this was pretty funny! I should have read this joke on Merdeka day itself rather than looking at the petrol price… prfffftt….

She is eighty-eight years old and still drives her own car.

She writes:

Dear Grand-daughter,

The other day I went up to our local Christian book store

and saw a “Honk if you love Jesus” bumper sticker.

I was feeling particularly sassy that day

because I had just come from a thrilling choir performance,

followed by a thunderous prayer meeting.

So, I bought the sticker and put it on my bumper.

Boy, am I glad I did, what an uplifting experience that followed.

I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection,

just lost in thought about the Lord and how good he is,

and I didn’t notice that the light had changed.

It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus

because if he hadn’t honked, I’d never have noticed…

I found that lots of people love Jesus!

While I was sitting there, the guy behind started honking like crazy,

and then he leaned out of his window and screamed,

‘ For the love of God! ‘

‘ Go! Go! Go! Jesus Christ, GO!’

What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus!

Everyone started honking!

I just leaned out my window and started waving and smiling

at all those loving people.

I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love!

There must have been a man from Florida back there

because I heard him yelling something about a sunny beach.

I saw another guy waving in a funny way

with only his middle finger stuck up in the air.

I asked my young teenage grandson

in the back seat what that meant.

He said it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something.

Well, I have never met anyone from Hawaii ,

so I leaned out the window and gave him the good luck sign right back.

My grandson burst out laughing.

Why even he was enjoying this religious experience!!

A couple of the people were so caught up in the joy of the moment

that they got out of their cars and started walking towards me.

I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended,

but this is when I noticed the light had changed.

So, I waved at all my brothers and sisters

grinning, and drove on through the intersection.

I noticed that I was the only car that got through the intersection

before the light changed again and felt kind of sad

that I had to leave them after all the love we had shared.

So I slowed the car down, leaned out the window and gave them all

the Hawaiian good luck sign one last time as I drove away.

Praise the Lord for such wonderful folks!!

Will write again soon,

Love, Grandma

Petrol issue – kena tipu again… aihhh…

Aikss… i just found out today that RON95 will actually cost RM1.80 starting tomorrow. I thought i read somewhere long time ago that RON95 is meant to be priced at RM1.75 so we will still have 5 cents savings if change from RON97 to RON95.

Correct me if i’m wrong, i really have this understanding  that the price of RON97 will increase above current price of RM1.80 but then RON95 price will be RM1.75 so it’s sort of like an encouragement for us to use RON95 and at the same time, save a bit of money. But doesn’t seem to be this case anymore leh, starting tomorrow, RON95 price will be increased to RM1.80 as well. So what happens now is we’re paying the same price for a lower grade petrol quality.

What the F? We’re screwed once again, and i almost didn’t realize i’m being screwed !!! Never ending petrol issue in Malaysia…
